HR Generalist

We’re currently seeking a full-time HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST who will be responsible for the administrative functions of our Human Resources operations. Responsibilities will include performing a variety of HR related duties such as payroll and benefits administration, onboarding and new hire orientation, compliance and record maintenance as well as event planning and project assistance. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced entrepreneurial and creative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct new hire orientation to ensure that all new employees are adequately introduced and informed of all pertinent Company information, policies, procedures, and guidelines, and then accurately processes all completed paperwork as required
  • Manage all aspects of onboarding process and coordinate efforts with internal departments, to include communications related to email, systems, and computer set-up
  • Complete and process bi-weekly payroll and payroll related information, including new hires, terminations, payroll deductions and/or changes, transfers, and any other employee payroll-related data
  • Track and resolve payroll errors and adjustments as needed
  • Manage employee PTO and sick time
  • Assist with Benefits Administration including open enrollment, new employee eligibility, terminations, and changes
  • Ensure that Human Resources files and employment records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date, as well as filed and maintained in accordance with legal requirements, Company policies & procedures
  • Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, as needed
  • Serve as the point person for all employee questions and inquiries
  • Process background checks for new hires
  • Complete termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews
  • Process employment verifications and similar requests
  • Initiate and plan employee events and team-building activities
  • Assist with other areas of HR as needed (projects, initiatives, employee recognition programs, performance management, etc.)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university
  • Minimum of 1 year Human Resources or office experience with exposure to employee assistance responsibilities, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding and event planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding compensation, benefits and employee issues with a strong sense of integrity
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; must display patience and helpfulness while managing expectations and exercising good judgment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills; accuracy is essential

IDEALLY

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university with major coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field
